Trunk or Treat for those who don't know is a beloved halloween celebration in which kids trick or treat in a parking lot, going car to car collecting candy. All of the LDS wards we have ever been in have participated in this tradition. Some people get really into it and decorate their cars, but we aren't that good. This year Amelia went to Trunk or Treat as Cinderella, her favorite princess. She wears her Cinderella dress most days so this was no surprise. We wanted to keep up the tradition of dressing up as a family so Daddy went as Prince Charming and Mommy went as the Fairy Godmother. We enjoyed Chili, Cornbread, Mac and Cheese, Salad, Coloring, and more. There are some super creative people in the Ellington Ward and the costumes were smart, funny, and amazingly crafted. Amelia loved Trunk or Treating with Claudia, and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed handing out candy, although we ran out of candy before the end (300+ pieces wasn't enough). Some kids came by as many as three times before some others made their first trip. Oh well, next year more candy. Amelia was so excited. She had a Cinderella's carriage candy bucket and she filled it. She said "Trick or Treat" and "Thank You" and happily shared some candy with Mommy and Daddy. She was quick to start eating it herself too. It was a blast and we look forward to trick or treating on Halloween (Yay for Halloween being on a Saturday this year).

Toddler Miricles
Amelia has always been an easy toddler. With the exception of when teeth are coming in she has been a happy girl. She has always been quick to learn and very independant. Before the move we toyed with the idea of ditching the night time diaper. She had potty trained easily right after her 2nd Birthday and frequently would wake up dry. But with the move we were afraid she might regress and since we were sharing a bed until we were completely moved and her new bed arrived we decided not to risk it. But then a few days before her new bed arrived she refused her nighttime diaper. She was sleeping on her cot that night and we figured if she had accident it wouldn't hurt anything so we let it go. In the morning she was dry. The next night she wore her pull up diaper but when we woke up in the morning it was off, and again dry. It has been more than a week now, diaper free and so far so good. This kid is just amazing. Although tonight she asked for a pull up, because her pull ups have Cinderella on them and they glow in the dark, more of a toy than anything else. Now if we could just get her back on a sleep schedule and get these 2yr old molars to finish coming in we would be all set.
