Fun and Sickness

What do you do when you have a cold and you are waiting for the nyquil to kick in so you can sleep.... blog.  All was well yesterday.  But this morning Amelia's nose was runny.  I was hoping it was teeth, or a fluk.  But tonight, her nose is still running and now since 9pm my nose is runny and throat hurts.  Hopefully Aaron is spared this fun, usually he doesn't catch the yuckiness Amelia and I so lovingly share.

Amelia and I had some time to kill today and did so at Target.  It was fun shopping with her when there was no pressure to get in and out.  We started in the toy isles.  We went up and down every isle.  In one of the early isles Amelia found a toy grocery cart which she adorably pushed around the entire store as we shopped.  We raided the dollar bins for quiet activities that would be fun for church and walked away with a few princess themed crafts.  We had fun looking through all of the costumes still out for halloween, but since it's still pre-halloween they are expensive.  After halloween we will snag a few for dress up play clothes.  Amelia loves the giant spider decorations.  The first time she saw one was in the hotel a few weeks ago and she was scared but we told her the spiders are nice and sang itsy bitsy spider and now all the giant spider decorations everywhere make her day.  We had fun.  When it was time to leave we realized it had begun to rain.  We needed to clean the truck and had planned to go to the car wash after target and clean/vacuum, etc.  But instead we ran to the truck, jumped it, turned on the heat and music and did our best to clean it from the inside.  We did pretty well, and stayed dry.  Amelia loves any opportunity to be in the car but not strapped in her car seat.

We ended with dinner and ice cream at Friendly's because it was going to be a late night making honey deliveries.  We danced in Super Cuts while Daddy got his haircut which drained Amelia's happy energy leaving a cranky toddler to deliver honey.  But we all survived and now it's nyquil and sleep.
